Tuesday night at Tammany Hall was the release party for Ferrari Snowday's latest project Wasabi, featuring guests Nina Sky and Skip Rage. Ferrari Snowday is composed of producer and artist Slimmy Neutron, and Lee Wilkie, artist and fashion designer for the likes of Ecko and G-Unit. Together they create a thrashing creation of futuristic dance and hip-hop. Check out their darkly beautiful video for "True Blood" for a better idea of what they're all about. The cool tones of the room were set when Nina Sky spun. I confess I may have given them my contact info as a professional courtesy (read: come on.) Apologies, I was there with an old college friend who was peer pressuring me to chug beer like we were still in school. For those unaware, Nina Sky are perfect looking musical twins and my latest obsession. I'll save a full write up on the pair for a feature where I can give them the attention they deserve. A corner of the New York emerging hip-hop scene, the house was filled with pretty girls with afros, and eccentric groupies. My beautiful friend Linsey was getting hit on left and right, notably by a fellow who introduced himself as the "Lord Superb of the Wu Tang Clan" and asked her for her number on his flip phone. The dudes who went on before Ferrari were nervous newbies, but I'm not going to say anything else negative because their devotion to their performance made me smile. Ferrari Snowday's stage energy cleared the room of lingering doubts of their abilities, but it was Skip who stole the show. As I've told you before, Skip is rock 'n' roll. He hit the stage with Ferrari around midnight, rocking the mic and shouting, "where's my fucking beer," just like a rap star should. As no man should be left dry, I handed him mine so we're practically fluid bonded. The exchange of alcohol was returned when he poured champagne down my throat at the end of the performance. I can usually get on board for anything that sounds like the future of music, and Wasabi does just that. You can download the album here. Bonus points for the night: Fly boys with long hair, and trill bitches with short hair Points subtracted for the night: Being ripped off by the bartender   @The BowieCat Photos by @Diceboiberra
